Believe it or not---the background started out as a piece of scrap newsprint that I was using to protect my workspace. I always work on newsprint. I use the leftover paints from projects that I am working on and just swipe it on using a credit card and smoosh the paint around. This piece had writing on it (several phone numbers I had jotted down that day!) and random rubber stampings (I was mounting new rubber that I bought at Art Unraveled and needed to try the stamps out). I later mounted the paper on a 6X6 piece of illustration board before doing the collage. Glad you liked it!!
